Broadway in Indianapolis has announced that tickets are on sale now for FINDING NEVERLAND, playing Clowes Memorial Hall October 17-22.

FINDING NEVERLAND was born across the river in Cambridge at the American Repertory Theater three years ago, but has settled in for a fortnight in the downtown Boston Theater district. Under the direction of Diane Paulus, with choreography by Mia Michaels, the original design team remains intact, and an all-new cast brings the familiar characters to life. Broadway veterans Billy Harrigan Tighe, Lynnfield native Christine Dwyer, and John Davidson headline the multi-talented ensemble.

MGC and Headlong today announced the full company for the world premiere of James Graham's new play Labour of Love. Joining Martin Freeman and Sarah Lancashire are Rachael Stirling, Kwong Loke, Dickon Tyrrell and Susan Wokoma.

Hennepin Theatre Trust will present FINDING NEVERLAND, Broadway.com's Audience Choice Award Winner for Best Musical, as part of the 2017-2018 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin Season Oct. 31-Nov. 5 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis). Based on the Academy Award-winning Miramax motion picture by David Magee, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, FINDING NEVERLAND follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Any that's exactly the case in the touring production of FINDING NEVERLAND, which opened to a cheerful crowd last night at Dallas' Winspear Opera House for a two-week engagement.

I always find it exciting to see a musical I know nothing about and FINDING NEVERLAND fits that bill. I remember watching Jennifer Hudson sing 'Neverland' on the 2014 Tony Awards and recall watching the cast perform on the NBC 'Thanksgiving Day Parade' in November, 2014. The cast included Matthew Morrison, Kelsey Grammer, Laura Michelle Kelly and Carolee Carmello. However, the Tony Awards snubbed the musical with no nominations. After seeing the show this week, I do not understand why. I found the musical absolutely wonderful and worthy of a Tony nomination for Best Musical. FUN HOME won the Tony for Best Musical in 2015 beating out SOMETHING ROTTEN!, THE VISIT, and AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. There were no nominations for FINDING NEVERLAND.

This week FINDING NEVERLAND takes the stage as the final show in the 2016 - 2017 FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando season. It's been a great season and next year's promises to be even better. FINDING NEVERLAND started touring in October 2016 after a decent Broadway run.

Broadway In Boston, announced today that tickets for the upcoming Boston engagement of FINDING NEVERLAND will go on sale to the public this Sunday, May 7th.  FINDING NEVERLAND will play a limited two week engagement at the Boston Opera House August 8-20, 2017 as part of the 2016-2017 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Going to see FINDING NEVERLAND for the first time didn't raise any specific expectations. Having heard a little bit about it over the years, there were a few things to consider. It was the story of J.M. Barrie and how he came to write the famed Peter Pan story many years ago. It was well received by audiences on Broadway but was snubbed by the Tony Awards. But, still going in with an open mind and desire to know what the story was all about, it was pleasantly surprising.
