The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) today announced plans for the revitalisation of the Olivier Awards, theatre's most prestigious prize.

The Laurence Olivier Awards - the most prestigious awards in London's Theatreland - will be held this year in a revamped ceremony at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday 13 March. Follow full coverage of the event on www.olivierawards.com.

Ricky Martin has announces his upcoming tour dates across America.

Today, an Equity Principle Casting notice reveals that previews will begin in March of 2012 in anticipation of an April 2012 opening. Rehearsals begin in February of that year.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) and Hilary A. Williams LLC, present the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical, Tomorrow Morning, with book, lyrics and music by Laurence Mark Wythe. Tom Mullen will direct. Performances begin Friday, March 21, 2011 for a limited engagement through Saturday, April 23, 2011 at The Theatre at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street).

According to the BBC, PASSION was named the Best Musical at the 56th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards while Bruce Norris's CLYBOURNEY PARK won the Best Play Award on Nov. 28 in a ceremony at London's Savoy Hotel. Sir Peter Hall was also honored with the Moscow Art Theatre's Golden Seagull Award for his contribution to world theatre while Sir Michael Gambon was awarded the Lebedev Special Award for his contribution to British theatre.

Broadway bound Ricky Martin is set to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show on November 2. In the interview, the latin superstar will discuss his take on coming out as a gay man and becoming a single father of twins. The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, the 2010 Awards will be presented at the Savory on November 28, 2010. The short list of the 2010 nominees will be released one week prior to the ceremony.

The U.K.'s Donmar Warehouse has announced that Spelling Bee, Harold Pinter's Moonlight, and Luise Miller have been added to the 2011 programming line-up.

The Daily Mail has confirmed that the Donmar Warehouse's production of PASSION will star Elena Roger, David Thaxton, and Scarlett Strallen. Except for Roger and Strallen, the cast will consist only of men.

Today, Baz Bamigboye reveals in the UK Daily Mail that concert versions of Company and Merrily We Roll Along presented by the Donmar will play the West End at the Queen's Theatre. Merrily will play two performances on October 31, with evening and matiness shows. Company will play the same schedule on November 7. The concerts were initially scheduled to be performed at the Donmar's own space, but have been moved to accommodate more patrons.

The New York Times is reporting that EVITA is officially set for a Spring 2012 revival, produced by Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders, directed by Michael Grandage (who directed the recent London revival) and starring Elena Roger and Ricky Martin.
