White Light Reschedules MANGANIYAR SEDUCTION, 11/22-23

Due to a delay in issuing visas for musicians traveling from New Delhi to New York, the performances of the closing presentation of Lincoln Center's White Light Festival, the U.S. premiere of Roysten Abel's extraordinary music-theater work The Manganiyar Seduction, have been postponed to Monday, November 22, and Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Performances will take place as planned in the Rose Theater, in Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center (Broadway at 60th Street), at 7:30 PM.

Star of the stage and screen, Jill Clayburgh passed away yesterday, November 5, at the age of 66. Clayburgh lost a 21 year battle with chronic leukemia. Clayburgh is survived by her husband, playwright David Rabe, and her daughter, Lily Rabe, who is currently starring in the Broadway production of 'The Merchant of Venice.'

The event begins with Jazz Vespers at 5 PM. All Nite Soul starts at 7 PM with over 80 musicians celebrating All Nite Soul and honoring Frank Wess. An 'exhibit wall' in the Living Room of Saint Peter's Church will tell the story of Frank Wess with memorabilia.
