Nine Acts Spring Forward with New RIAA Multi-Platinum Awards

Nine musical acts were awarded multi-Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in February, according to the RIAA's newest monthly Gold & Platinum Program certification announcement.

Taylor Swift Launches North American RED Tour Tonight in Omaha

Taylor Swift previously announced that she would launch a North American stadium and arena tour in early 2013 in support of her blockbuster new album, RED. Taylor made the special announcement in partnership with ABC News on a primetime TV special 'All Access Nashville with Katie Couric – A Special Edition of 20/20.' Watch the announcement here. LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY to Return to SXSW for Music Showcase, 3/13

NBC's 'Last Call with Carson Daly' announced that it will return to the popular South by Southwest Music (SXSW) Festival to host its annual music showcase in Austin, Texas on March 13 that will be followed by a week-long spotlight of SXSW beginning Tuesday, March 19 (1:35-2:05 a.m. ET) through Friday, March, 22. 'Last Call' will partner with Ford Fiesta to showcase six emerging artists, including Angel Haze, Big Black Delta, Glossary, Grape St., Maximum Hedrum and The Coup from Cedar Street Courtyard in Austin.

The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held tonight, Feb. 10, 2013, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Current nominees Dr. John and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band have been added to join a performance by the Black Keys, in addition to three-time GRAMMY Award winner Stanley Clarke, current nominee Chick Corea and current nominee Kenny Garrett paying tribute to Dave Brubeck, a performance by current nominee Juanes and a joint performance by Travis Barker, Chuck D, two-time GRAMMY Award winner and host LL COOL J, two-time GRAMMY Award winner Tom Morello and DJ Z-Trip, all on THE 55TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS broadcast. The music industry's premier event will take place Sunday, Feb. 10 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET/delayed PT), at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, on the CBS Television Network.

MTV's 10 ON TOP to Celebrate 100th Episode with All-Star Guest Line-Up, 2/9

MTV's "10 on Top" marks a milestone as it airs its 100th episode on Saturday, February 9 at 12:30pm ET/PT. Staying true to its usual format, the episode hosted by Lenay Dunn will be chock full of features on the week's most talked about celebrities and topics, including interviews with some of today's hottest stars such as Trey Songz, Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, A$AP Rocky, Hunter Hayes, the cast of "Pretty Little Liars" and "Vampire Diaries." Zac Brown, Elton John & More Will Perform Levon Helm Tribute at the GRAMMY Awards

Nominees Zac Brown, Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes), and Mumford & Sons, along with five-time GRAMMY winner, GRAMMY Legend Award recipient, and 2000 MusiCares Person of the Year honoree Elton John and GRAMMY winner and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient (as a member of the Staples Singers) Mavis Staples will join together for a special tribute to the late Levon Helm as part of the annual In Memoriam segment on the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast. Current nominee T Bone Burnett will serve as musical director for this special tribute to Helm. Additionally, current nominees Miguel and Wiz Khalifa also are set to perform on Music's Biggest Night. Thirteen-time GRAMMY winner Dave Grohl, three-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Ne-Yo, and TV and radio host/producer (and newly appointed Honorary Chair of the GRAMMY Foundation Board) Ryan Seacrest will appear as presenters.
