Theatre Development Fund (TDF), the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, honored Disney Theatrical Productions and Thomas Schumacher, its president and producer, last night at TDF's Gala on Monday, March 14 at Manhattan's historic Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway @ 36th Street, NYC).
Just last night, Tovah Feldshuh hosted the Theatre Development Fund's (TDF) 2014 Gala, which celebrated the 35th season of TDF's Accessibility Programs (TAP). TAP are TDF's services for people with physical disabilities, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum. Theatre Development Fund (TDF), the nation's largest not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts has been named as one of the six awardees of the 2011 Mayor's Award for Arts and Culture. The award will be presented by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Alec Baldwin in a ceremony at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center on Tuesday, November 1 at 6pm. The event will feature live performances by leading performing arts organizations, and appearances by special guest artists.
Earl D. Weiner, Chairman of the Board, and Victoria Bailey, Executive Director of Theatre Development Fund [TDF], the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, announced today that Michael Naumann would be joining TDF as Managing Director. Mr. Naumann, a significant player in New York's theatrical community, leaves his position of Director of Finance at Frankel Green Theatrical Management (FGTM) to join TDF. Prior to his current post, Mr. Naumann served for 20 years as Director of Finance and Administration at Manhattan Theatre Club. He will assume his duties at TDF on May 9.

Legendary designers William Ivey Long and Bob Crowley were among the four recipients of the 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards. Five-time Tony Award winning costume designer William Ivey Long will receive the 2009 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for theatrical costume design, and, for his achievements as both a costume and scenic designer, Bob Crowley (also a five-time Tony Award winner) received the TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards' special Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatrical Design at a ceremony on Friday, March 27, at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.
The Houseman Award honors a profound commitment to the development of classical actors and an audience for the theater. The award this year was given to Theatre Development Fund. The Warburg Award is presented for outstanding philanthropic endeavor. The award was presented to William D. Zabel, Chairman of Human Rights First, by its President, Michael Posner.
The Board of Trustees of Theatre Development Fund (TDF), the country's largest not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, founded in 1968, has announced the election of Earl D. Weiner to the position of chairman of the Board of Trustees. The announcement was made by TDF's current chairman, David D. Holbrook, who just completed a second tenure as chairman which began in November 2005. Mr. Holbrook's first tenure as chairman was from November 1990 - November 1997.
