Berkshire Theatre Group Announces Winter/Spring Programming

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO, Kate Maguire is proud to announce programming for the first half of 2012. Some highlights include Travis Tritt, Colin Hay, Bettye LaVette, Turtle Island Quartet, Tarbox Ramblers, BeauSoleil avec Michael Ducet, Danu, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, Ahmad Jamal, Carrie Newcomer, The Bronx Wanderers and Rhythmic Circus. With acts that feature country music, folk music, magic, tap dance, comedy and much more, Berkshire Theatre Group has a diverse blend of offerings.

James Taylor to Star in Berkshire Theatre Group's A CHRISTMAS CAROL,

Berkshire Theatre Group is pleased to announce the reprise of our annual community production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Eric Hill and presented for the first time at The Colonial Theatre. Revel in the joy and redemptive power of Christmas as told in the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous miser who is reformed and shown the error of his ways by four spirits. Journey back to Victorian England and experience the classic story filled with terrific turns and infused with holiday music.

Berkshire Theatre Group Hosts Auditions For A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Berkshire Theatre Group seeks young actors for this December's production of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Eric Hill and co-directed by Hill and E. Gray Simons III, December 17-30 at The Colonial Theatre. BTG is seeking boys and girls between 3rd grade and 12th grade to fill the roles of Belle, Turkey Boy, Fan, Belle's Daughter, Villagers, Cratchit Children and Tiny Tim.

Berkshire Theatre Fest Hosts Auditions For THE WIZARD OF OZ

Berkshire Theatre Festival seeks child and adult actors, musicians, backstage crew, technical support, usher staff, and parent volunteers to participate in its upcoming community production of the musical The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum adapted by John Kane for The Royal Shakespeare with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, background music by Herbert Stothart, Dance and Vocal Arrangements by Peter Howard, Orchestration by Larry Wilcox, based upon the Classical Motion Picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed in all media by Warner Bros.

2010 Berkshire Theatre Festival to Include Atkinson, Rando, Easton et al.

Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire has announced the schedule for the 2010 Berkshire Theatre Festival season. This season features one world premiere, two musicals, and multiple classics from the theatrical canon. Critically-acclaimed directors David Auburn, Anders Cato, Kyle Fabel, Wes Grantom, Eric Hill, John Rando, and E. Gray Simons III will be charged with bringing this season of theatre that matters to life. Among the actors appearing this year in Stockbridge are Jayne Atkinson, David Chandler, Jeremy Davidson, Richard Easton, Michel Gill, and Randy Harrison.

Berkshire Theatre Festival Announces 80th Season

Berkshire Theatre Festival Artistic Director Kate Maguire is pleased to announce the company's 2008 80th anniversary season, which will extend from May 22 through December 30 and be the longest-running season in the company's history.
