Native Earth Performing Arts is proud to present Niimi'iwe, their 2nd annual Indigenous Dance Double Bill. An Ojibwe word meaning 'to host dance,' Niimi'iwe is a three-night dance series featuring powerful contemporary Indigenous dance works - and a world premiere - from Thursday March 30 to Saturday April 1 in Aki Studio.

Opera Australia's largest and most ambitious production returns to Melbourne in 2016. Directed by Neil Armfield, Wagner's Ring Cycle will play at Arts Centre Melbourne from 21 November to 16 December 2016.

This fall, Marin Theatre Company unleashes their 2016-17 Family Series season with tales of growing up, friendship, and self discovery. Kicking off its second Family Series Season of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) plays is writer and performer Jim Napolitano with his original shadow puppet story, Father Goose's Tales. Next up are three fully self-produced TYA productions: an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's engrossing The Jungle Book by Greg Banks, Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, The Snow Queen, adapted by Mike Kenny, and Brendan Murray's endearing rendition of Hare and Tortoise.

The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) today announced the date, creative team, host and venue for the 37th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the awards show and party that celebrates extraordinary Toronto talent in the performing arts. Dora Awards Producer Jacoba Knaapen announced that the much-anticipated event will take place on Monday, June 27 and that it will, for the third time in a row, be held under the stars at Harbourfront Centre. Tickets go on sale May 31.

Toronto – Today at the Canadian Opera Company's Annual General Meeting, COC Board Chair Tony Arrell and COC General Director Alexander Neef reported on the financial and artistic successes of the 2014/2015 season. With an acclaimed season of operas, the COC maintained its impressive attendance numbers, recording an average attendance of 92%, as well as retained last year's historic-level of fundraising with contributed revenue totaling $12.6 million and posted a balanced budget, to show a modest surplus of $13,000.

DanceWorks, Toronto's longest running contemporary dance series, proudly presents the first show of its 39th season: the world premiere of Woven, a Tribal Crackling Wind production choreographed by award-winning Artistic Director, choreographer Peter Chin. A major new work that reflects the spirit of traditional weaving communities, Woven premieres tonight, September 24, and runs to Saturday, September 26 at 8pm nightly at Harbourfront Centre Theatre as part of NextSteps.
