On Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Independence Flagstaff and sculptures of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington (Union Square Park, 14th to 17th Street, Broadway, Manhattan), in honor of Independence Day, the Citywide Monuments Conservation Program (CMCP) will preserve the Independence Flagstaff, the Abraham Lincoln sculpture, and the George Washington monument. The sculptures will be fully cleaned and protective finishes will be renewed.

On June 11 from 9 am to noon at Tompkins Square Park, the Citywide Monuments Conservation Program's crew will help preserve the Slocum Disaster Memorial and Tompkins Square park monuments. This memorial fountain and other monuments throughout New York will receive care this summer by the program, a public-private partnership protecting New York's cultural heritage and providing graduate-level students with hands-on training with a renowned collection of public art.

Bravo announced today that international supermodel and fashion icon, Iman, has signed on as the host of the second season of 'The Fashion Show.' Iman will join internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi who, as previously announced, will be returning as host to the fashion competition series.
