Canadian Stage continues its 2009-2010 season with the world premiere of Necessary Angel's This Is What Happens Next. The one-man show is the highly anticipated new collaboration from Daniel MacIvor and Daniel Brooks, one of the most potent and influential partnerships in Canadian theatre. Together they have created such legendary solo shows as House (1991), Here Lies Henry (1994), Monster (1998) and Cul-de-sac (2003).

The Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, presents the Chicago-area premiere of the smash hit Broadway musical THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. The production previews April 28th, opens May 5th, and runs through June 27th. Multi-Jeff Award winner Marc Robin will choreograph and direct.

You remember it - it's the one where the Broadway star wants to leave the show because she's fallen for some oil-rich lummox, so the producer hires a gigolo to woo the girl and put the kibosh on the nuptials. With chorus girls and gangsters and an aviatrix and, of course, the 'drowsy' chaperone!
