ION Media Acquires Broadcast Rights to CHICAGO P.D.

ION Media today announced a long-term content deal with NBCUniversal Television Distribution to bring the top-rated drama 'Chicago P.D.' to its flagship network, ION Television. From Dick Wolf's highly successful 'Chicago' franchise, the series is a top-10 drama on broadcast television in A25-54 and A18-49 and is the #1 series in its time period (Wed/10p) in all key demos this season.i The agreement gives ION seasons 1-5 (106 episodes) of 'Chicago P.D.,' which will make its network debut in early 2019, plus the option for future seasons.

Oxygen Media, the network for high-quality crime programming, is ordering new seasons of “Cold Justice” and “Criminal Confessions” from Executive Producer Dick Wolf, it was announced today by Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. Both series are in pre-production and are set to return in 2018. This announcement comes on the heels of the network expanding its original series slate with 10 new greenlights and the US premiere of a Piers Morgan event series.

Florida Studio Theatre Announces 36th Burdick Reading Series

Florida Studio Theatre announces its 36th annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by modern American playwrights. Part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays, this three-day series will take place in Bowne's Lab Theatre on April 29, May 6, and May 13 at 3 PM each day.
