MATILDA THE MUSICAL Opens in Toronto, Tonight!

Starring a cast of acclaimed Canadian musical theatre performers in principal roles and three exciting young talents sharing the title role, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers presented in Toronto by David Mirvish as part of his 2015-16 Main Subscription Season. Performances begin Tuesday July 5 at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, with the media night scheduled forThursday, July 7 at 6:45 PM. Tickets are now available for performances until October 16, 2016.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL to Play Adelaide

Following the announcement of the 2016 Helpmann Award Nominations and news that the Royal Shakespeare Company's Australian Production of Matilda The Musical has received a record thirteen nominations, it was announced last night that the production will play a season in Adelaide from May 20 2017, following seasons in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne, where Matilda is currently playing to packed houses.

MATILDA Coming to Washington Pavilion Mary W. Sommervold Hall in 2017

tour TIME Magazine's #1 Show of 2013, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, is coming to Sioux Falls, SD.  Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Dodgers, the first national tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will be coming to the Washington Pavilion Mary W. Sommervold Hall for six performances on March 22-26, 2017.

Steep Theatre Company Sets 16th Anniversary Season

Steep Theatre Company has announced the programming for its upcoming 16th season, which continues the company's tradition of presenting bold plays from today's most exciting playwrights, brought to life by fearlessly honest ensembles and visionary directors. Season 16 will feature a world premiere from Chicago playwright Alex Lubischer, a U.S. premiere from Olivier Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett, a U.S. premiere from rising English playwright Cordelia Lynn, and a Midwest premiere from California-based playwright Lauren Yee. Steep Ensemble Members and Jeff Award-winning directors Robin Witt and Jonathan Berry will helm two of the productions, to be joined by two guest directors. 

BWW REVIEW: Revolting Sound System Mars MATILDA Tour

The talented, hard-working children of MATILDA THE MUSICAL NATIONAL TOUR spend much of their time on stage revolting against their horrible headmistress Miss Trunchbull. Off-stage they should revolt against the horrible sound system that renders their lyrics indecipherable.

STAGE TUBE: MATILDA's Zaris-Angel Hator Sings 'Naughty' at West End Live

This weekend, the casts of more than 30 West End shows perform for free in Trafalgar Square! WEST END LIVE 2016 takes place today, 18 June (11am-6pm) and tomorrow, 19 June (12pm-6pm). One of today's performances featured one of MATILDA's Zaris-Angel Hator, singing 'Naughty.' Check out her revolting performance below!

Sam Steiner Awarded Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship 2016

Today, Paines Plough announce that the second Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship is awarded to Sam Steiner and that the recipient of the new Paines Plough and Birmingham Repertory Theatre Trainee Director bursary is Anna Himali Howard.

GROUNDHOG DAY Previews Delayed at the Old Vic

The world premiere of GROUNDHOG DAY has been delayed because of the 'technical requirements' involved in the production.  Previews are now postponed until 15 July with an opening night of 16 August.

The Public Theater Names New Director of New Work Development

The Public Theater announced today that Jeanie O'Hare has been named the Director of New Work Development. O'Hare, who will start at The Public in September, has more than 20 years of experience, working with leading theater companies in Britain and most recently serving as the Chair of Playwriting at the Yale School of Drama.

MATILDA Now Coming to PPAC in May 2017

The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) has announced new performance dates for TIME Magazine's #1 Show of the Year, MATILDA THE MUSICAL. The award-winning production, which was previously announced as being at PPAC January 3 - 8, 2017, will now perform at the Theatre Wednesday, May 17 - Sunday, May 21, 2017. 

Helen George's AFTER MISS JULIE Comes To Richmond Theatre in July

Theatre Royal Bath Productions presents a brand new version of Patrick Marber's After Miss Julie, with Helen George, Richard Flood and Amy Cudden at Richmond Theatre from Mon 11 to Sat 16 July as part of a UK tour, prior to a West End transfer.
