On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) will present its 13th annual An Enduring Vision benefit at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The Foundation welcomes back award-winning CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, who will host the event for a seventh year.

On Monday, October 20, 2014, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) will present its eighth annual Sing for Hope Gala, uniting New York's philanthropic and cultural leaders for a magical evening in support of Sing for Hope's programs that bring the arts to under-resourced areas. The event will be co-chaired by Marina Kellen French, Margie Loeb, and Ann Ziff, and will take place at the beautiful Tribeca Rooftop in downtown Manhattan.

Jackman gave a speech about his Australian pride with the rooftop view of the Empire State Building illuminated with Australia's colors directly behind him. He then gave a surprise performance of "I Still Call Australia Home" by Peter Allen - who Jackson played in his Tony Award-winning performance in The Boy from Oz on Broadway. Award-winning actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Jackman were honored by the David Lynch Foundation with an award for their lifetime of giving at the 5th annual Change Begins Within gala in New York City on Tuesday night. The David Lynch Foundation also honored FDNY Commissioner Salvatore Cassano for his lifetime of service. Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted its signature fundraiser, the Angel Ball, on Tuesday, October 29th at Cipriani Wall Street. The black-tie benefit, hosted by Grammy-nominated song writer Denise Rich featured a cocktail reception, dinner, live musical performances, a paddle raise and both live and online auctions raising nearly $3 million for the Foundation's research initiatives. This year's gala honored three individuals for their outstanding philanthropic contributions to cancer research. Supermodel Karolina Kurkova presented Simon de Pury, Chairman, de Pury de Pury with an award for his dedication to raising much needed funds for cancer research. Hugh Jackman along with his wife Deborra-lee Furness honored Deborra-lee's mother, Fay Duncan, President of the Fight Cancer Foundation in Australia and Ethan Zohn took the stage to talk about how research and the work of Clay B.
