The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh are set to present the award-winning musical Mary Poppins.

After breaking box office records and selling out in record time in 2009, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to Salt Lake City's Capitol Theatre July 18-August 26. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale Friday, May 11 at 10am. Part of Zions Bank Broadway Across America - Utah.

The Providence premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Thursday, February 9 at the Providence Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of 2 weeks through Sunday, February 19. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7PM, Thursday and Friday evenings at 7PM, Saturday evenings at 8PM, Sunday evenings at 6:30PM, and Saturday matinees at 2PM and Sunday matinees at 1PM with an additional performance on Thursday, February 16 at 2PM.

Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return for a fourth engagement at the Buell Theatre April 11-May 20. Tickets for the return engagement are now on sale at www.denvercenter.org or by calling 303.893.4100.

At a ceremony last night, the winners of the 2011 Sydney Theatre Awards were announced. Over 300 members of the Sydney theatre community packed the auditorium at Paddington RSL to celebrate the best of Sydney theatre throughout 2011.

Named as First Night's Outstanding Musical of 2011 was Lipscomb University Theatre's production of Hairspray, directed and choreographed by Justin Boccitto. ACT 1's production of American Buffalo, directed by Ryan Williams, claimed top honors as First Night's Oustanding Play of 2011, and the national touring company's Memphis, the Musical, which played Andrew Jackson Hall at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, was named as First Night's Outstanding Touring Production of 2011, besting productions of Spring Awakening, In The Heights, Wicked and Les Miserables.
