After the success of Theatre NOVA's inaugural Michigan Playwrights Festival four years ago, the theatre is continuing its semi-annual tradition and announcing a call for submissions for this season's festival of new plays by Michigan playwrights. The next festival will run April 22-26, 2020. The deadline for submissions is January 1, 2020.

This year's programme sees the return of popular cabaret group, the Foo Foo Fighters, who are bringing three evenings of burlesque to the first week of the festival with Nightmare on Middle Street, Dr Frankenbubble's Spoopy Soup Cabaret providing the late-night variety shows in the second week. Popular local entertainer Professor Elemental also makes an appearance with his Tales of Wrong for one night only.

Netflix Inc. announced today that Chief Financial Officer David Wells plans to step down after helping the company choose his successor. The search will include both internal and external candidates. An all-star ensemble of instrumentalists - Joshua Rubin, clarinet; Geoff Nuttall, violin; Christopher Costanza, cello; and Sarah Rothenberg, piano - bring to life this timeless work, which Messiaen wrote and premiered in 1941 while in confinement at a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany during World War II.
