This holiday season Horizon Theatre Company turns 'ho ho ho' into 'ha ha ha' as it reprises its popular production of The Santaland Diaries by award-winning satirist David Sedaris. Brian Sills returns to Kansas City Repertory Theatre to star in David Sedaris' irreverent holiday comedy The SantaLand Diaries, about the merry misadventures of an out-of-work New York writer hired to play an elf named Crumpet in a Macy's SantaLand. The show is directed by the Rep's Producing Director Jerry Genochio and runs November 29-December 22 at Copaken Stage. Sills is well known to Rep audiences who cheered his performance as the emcee in the 2011 critically acclaimed production of Cabaret.

It's back! Long Island's annual Arts Alive LI Festival returns this October as a month-long showcase of Long Island's many art, entertainment and cultural attractions. Presented by the Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA) and Bethpage Federal Credit Union, the Festival takes place from September 27, 2013 through October 31, 2013. From visual, musical and performing arts, to community festivals and epicurean delights, Arts Alive LI is a tribute to Long Island's arts and entertainment world and will take place on stages, in galleries, at film houses, and in neighborhood restaurants across Long Island's Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris will be directed by Jeff Adler for Horizon Theatre Company. The show runs November 22 - December 31, 2013.

This week, United Solo Theatre Festival is launching its new international showcase in Europe. Selected shows will be presented September 12-15, 2013 on the Teatr Syrena stage, a premier, three-hundred seat venue located in downtown Warsaw, Poland. The program includes a solo piece by Regina Advento, a member of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, as well as other shows performed by United Solo veterans and award winners, including Bill Bowers, Mark Gindick, Herbert Kaluza, Ewa Kasprzyk, and Anthony Nikolchev. This overseas showcase in September precedes the major eight-week run of United Solo scheduled for October and November in New York City.

Taking a cue from last season's artistically (and commercially!) successful 'Season of Family', the 2013/2014 Ringwald season also adheres to a theme: the power of words.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced the addition of The Santaland Diaries to the 2013 holiday season schedule.
