Following its re-activation in January 2013 with releases that included projects by Bill Frisell, Bob James & David Sanborn, Michel Camilo and John Medeski, SONY Masterworks' OKeh Records has announced their next wave of signings. The artists, who are part of the label's 'The Sound of Next' campaign are: saxophonist Craig Handy, Tunisian oudist/vocalist Dhafer Youssef, guitarist Nir Felder, drummer Jeff Ballard, saxophonist James Brandon Lewis, African vocalist Somi, and trumpeter Theo Croker.

St. Armands Art Festival returns with two full days of art, live music, and a free giveaway in honor of its 25th anniversary. This signature, nationally ranked juried outdoor art affair is scheduled for November 9 - 10, 2013. Festival promoter Howard Alan Events has produced this popular show for the past 25 years drawing the finest talent in the country and attracting locals and tourists alike who look forward to the vast array of original artwork on display and for sale. A portion of the proceeds benefits the St. Armands Circle Association. Admission is free and open to the public.

'We have been bringing the best and brightest artists to St. Armands for the past 25 years, making sure the show offers a wide range of unique handmade artwork; I believe that is the key to our success and the show's longevity.'
An Art Giveaway will give festival patrons an opportunity to win original artwork by participating artist Murf. The prize, a 32' x 36' framed, hand embellished Giclée of 'When the Moon Was High,' valued at $900, will be on display at his booth throughout the weekend where registration will also take place. Murf's multi-dimensional mixed media pieces are popular in the U.S. and abroad. His designs have been added to the collections of famous jazz musicians and other public figures, including David Sanborn, Richard Elliot, Kenny Rankin, Dave Koz and President Clinton. CircuSoul Yoga Studio will be on site, located at the center of the park, presenting the art of yoga.
