Keenan-Bolger, Countryman & Cohen Join Duncan in 'CLAIRE at George Street, 5/11-6/6

Beginning May 11th, Sandy Duncan will star in Creating Claire, written by Joe DiPetro. David Saint will direct the production which will run through June 6th at George Street Playhouse. Today it was announced that Celia Keenan-Bolger, Michael Countryman and Lynn Cohen have joined the cast.

As previously reported, The George Street Playhouse has cancelled their upcoming run of the play FOX ON THE FAIRWAY and has replaced it with A.R. Gurney's SYLVIA. Due to conflicting schedules, Ken Ludwig's FOX ON THE FAIRWAY has been moved to the 2010-2011 season. SYLVIA will be directed by David Saint and will run March 30th, 2010 through April 25th, 2010.

The George St. Playhouse recently released a preview of their current production, A.R. Gurney's SYLVIA, starring Rachel Dracht. SYLVIA is directed by David Saint and will run through April 25th, 2010.

CALVIN BERGER, a musical retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac, will open tonight at the George Street Playhouse in New Jersey. The show will feature Broadway star Noah Weisberg as Calvin, alongside David Hull, Krystal Joy Brown and Dana Steingold. Previews for the production began February 10th.

Tony Award nominees Robert Cuccioli and Alison Fraser will team up from December 18 - December 20 for George Street Playhouse's second Holiday Cabaret. The concert will be musical directed by Christopher Howatt, who will additionally sing and play piano.

Tony Award and Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Jane Alexander, Robert Cuccioli (GSP's The Seafarer) and Gareth Saxe (Broadway's The Homecoming), will reunite in their roles of Thom Thomas' A Moon to Dance By at the George Street Playhouse from November 17 - December 13. The three previously collaborated on the production at the REP in Pittsburgh.

In this economic downturn, when many arts organizations across the country are choosing to revive popular plays and musicals, Artistic Director David Saint has instead renewed the theatre's commitment to producing new work. The 2009-10 George Street Playhouse season will feature no less than four new works and one play, still to be announced.
