Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts held a highly successful Spring Fling on May 9, with approximately 7,500 people enjoying free performances, craft projects, and fun and games as the 'opening day' for the expanded family offerings on the Lincoln Center campus. It also launched the enhanced LC Kids program, which includes more membership options, new family programming, and special events designed for kids.

The event, attended by more than 500 people, lauded Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and Executive Vice-chairman and former CEO, Frank A. Bennack, Jr. for the enormous and varied contributions to Lincoln Center made by them as well as by their company. Both men serve on Lincoln Center's Board of Directors; Mr. Bennack was chairman of Lincoln Center from 2005 through 2010, and Mr. Swartz is currently chairman of Lincoln Center's Corporate Fund.

The New York Philharmonic and Harmony Program announce the launch of the inaugural Harmony All Stars Ensemble - nine New York City middle- and high-school students from low-income neighborhoods selected by audition for an eleven-day mentorship with New York Philharmonic musicians. The students will also attend a Philharmonic rehearsal and Young People's Concert, experience an intensive day of coaching and rehearsal, and perform with their Philharmonic mentors during a free public concert in the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center on May 20, 2015.
