The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today that they will host An Evening with Tom Cruise on Monday, December 17th, taking a look at some of Cruise's most iconic character work in a conversation with moderator and New York Film Festival Director of Programming, Kent Jones.

Many of the movie industry's biggest names came out to pay tribute to an eclectic group of honorees at the Academy's fourth annual Governors Awards held on December 1 at the Hollywood & Highland Center's Ray Dolby Ballroom. The Independent Spirit Awards have announced the nominations for the upcoming 28th annual awards ceremony, set for Feb. 23. Check out the full list of nominations below:

The Delaware Theatre Company presents The Outgoing Tide (www.OutgoingTidePlay.com) a new American play by Bruce Graham (nominee of two Drama Desk Awards and The Rosenthal Prize for Coyote on a Fence at Urban Stages, Something Intangible, Any Given Monday) and directed by Bud Martin (Any Given Monday, Respect). Roger Bean's The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns, the eagerly awaited sequel to the popular off-Broadway jukebox musical The Marvelous Wonderettes, has a brand new cast album. The show opened July 7th at Laguna Playhouse to sparkling reviews. Wonderettes creator Roger Bean has selected 32 songs for the new show and each one, from beloved classic to hidden treasure, has received the signature Wonderettes touch for the new album.

Sony Music is proud to announce the release of Danny Elfman's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack recording of HITCHCOCK on December 4, 2012. The film is a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock, and his wife and partner Alma Reville. It takes place during the making of Hitchcock's seminal movie PSYCHO, widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made and the subject of Stephen Rebello's highly praised book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, on which the film HITCHCOCK is based. HITCHCOCK opens in select theatres November 23.

As The Hollywood Reporter learned earlier tonight, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, will no longer open nationwide Nov. 21. Rather, David O. Russell's drama will only open in 10-15 theaters this weekend, and continue premiering around the country through December.
