The award winning Arvada Center will open Miracle on 34th Street, The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer on November 27 running through December 23, 2012 in the Main Stage Theater. The musical is based on the story "Miracle on 34th Street" by Valentine Davies; book, music and lyrics were written and composed by Meredith Willson (The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown). Performances are Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Preview performances are November 23 - 25. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is extending the submission deadline for the 2012TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series to August 23 (for musicals without a producer) and August 30 (with a producer attached). There's something lovably crass about THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL that makes it a very wild ride, indeed. As an audience, we're accustomed now to the tell-all, show-all, behavior that's seen on daytime (and some times night time)television, especially if you watch Jerry Springer or others of his ilk. Really, these characters ring true enough that they virtually shine in this arena, if only for the length of this crazy quilt of trailer-hood that mixes in a liberal dose of modern Americana. Stray Dog Theatre's latest production throws a helluva lot of jokes against the wall, and luckily, most of them stick.

Weiss); and The Sin Eater by Michael Bettencourt, produced by Block & Tackle Productions, Inc. and Elfin Frederick Vogel.
