FIRST DATE has just annnounced a new performance schedule, beginning Tuesday, October 8, 2013: Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm, Thursday-Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 3pm and 7.30pm. Tickets for FIRST DATE range from $35 to $137, and can be purchased at the Longacre Theatre box office or at Telecharge.com (212.239.6200). Please note that $30 rush tickets may be available the day of the performance. The current performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm,Wednesday-Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm and 7pm. MEMPHIS, the 2010 Tony Award Winner for Best Musical, opens at Bass Concert Hall on December 10-15 for a limited engagement. Tickets go on sale September 13.
As BroadwayWorld previously announced, a new musical inspired by the work of Tupac Shakur, titled HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, is on its way to Broadway. Directed by Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun [2004], Fences [2010] The Mountaintop), the project is planned for a Broadway production in the 2013-2014 season, subject to theatre availability.

Producers announced today that off-Broadway's OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES will close on Sunday September 15. It will have played 22 previews and 552 regular performances. As previously announced, a Chicago production will begin performances at the Royal George Theatre on September 24 and open on October 2.
