The show, set in a mining camp in Gold Rush-era California, is the story of a dreaming gold miner and his daughter whose world is changed when the daughter finds gold-and love-near their camp.

Earlier this week, Carnegie Hall presented Standard Time with Michael Feinstein 'The Bad and the Beautiful'- Celebrating David Raksin and Classic Film Songs. Michael Feinstein, backed by a 12-piece band conducted by Charles Prince, sang classic songs by some of Hollywood's greatest composers. Feinstein performed music by David Raskin, the composer of the themes for The Bad and the Beautiful, Laura, and other memorable films, as well as favorites by other great masters of music for the silver screen. Since she burst onto the scene while still a student a Juilliard, pianist and composer, Lera Auerbach, has always been a bit of a trend setter and rule breaker and her exciting and audacious new project appears to be no exception. It is a global collaborative commissioning project for her new 'Concerto for Piano and Orchestra.' The global aspect of the project will kick off with the composer herself performing the World Premiere, with the Stuttgart Philharmoniker under the baton of Maestro Dan Ettinger on November 24th, of next year.

After sold out shows and amazing reviews - including a rave in The New York Times - a special encore performance has been added on Wednesday, August 13, in addition to remaining shows on Tuesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 31 at 7:00 PM. Stravelli, called an 'outstanding singer' by The Wall Street Journal, is known from her tours with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, appearances at the 92nd Street Y and her long-running Soho jazz brunch. Her new show, directed by nightlife legend Marilyn Maye, includes selections from her debut CD Waiting in Vain previews tracks for her upcoming sophomore release. The evening features classic standards like 'While We're Young' and 'Goody Goody,' pop hits such as 'Young Folks' (Peter, Bjorn and John) and 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' (John Fogerty), in addition to distinctive original compositions. She is joined by Joshua Richman on piano, Pat O'Leary on bass and Eric Halvorson on drums.
