Break out your high heels and fishnets this holiday because Hell in a Handbag Productions is bringing back Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer, David Cerda's beloved parody of the classic children's television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Now celebrating its 17th year, Rudolph the Red-Hosed Reindeer is the longest running holiday show featuring a transvestite reindeer in the history of Chicago, and quite possibly the world. Cast Set for Chicago Premiere of ACCIDENTALLY LIKE A MARTYR, Beginning 1/15 at A Red Orchid

A Red Orchid Theatre continues its 22nd Season with the Chicago premiere of Accidentally Like a Martyr, written by Grant James Varjas, directed by Ensemble Member Shade Murray and featuring Ensemble Members Steve Haggard, and Doug Vickers with David Cerda, Lane Manzer, Luce Merrius, Troy West and Dominique Worsley The production runs January 15 - March 1, 2015, at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Press Opening is Monday, January 19, 2015 at 7 p.m.

New Colony's Free Fall SIDE STAGE Lineup to Feature THE GOLDFISH PROJECT & More

The New Colony has announced an exciting free line-up of Side Stage programming this fall, kicking off with a new installment of THE GOLDFISH PROJECT, Shawn Bowers' uproarious (and a little bit creepy) adventures posing as a women on popular online dating sites. Then, the PSYCHONAUT LIBRARIANS return - and audiences are invited to help The New Colony and writer/director Sean Kelly further develop this sci-fi trilogy. Finally, travel with the company through the mysterious depths of the their cavernous home at the Dank Haus in BLACK & BURN, by Jake Sanders directed Joe Giovinnetti. All Side Stage performances will be presented at the Dank Haus German American Cultural Center, 4740 N. Western Ave. in Chicago. 4th Annual Chicago One-Minute Play Festival at Victory Gardens Set for 5/4-5

Victory Gardens Artistic Director Chay Yew, Managing Director Chis Mannelli and The One-Minute Play Festival Producing Artistic Director Dominic D'Andrea announce the Fourth Annual Chicago One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF), an evening of one-minute plays by sixty of Chicago's top playwrights, directed by ten Chicago directors. #1MPF will be presented for two performances only, Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Six Chicago Theatre Companies to Offer HOLIDAY THEATRE PASSPORT

Six diverse theatre companies are joining forces to offer the Holiday Theatre Passport, a unique and festive incentive for Chicago theatergoers to explore the city's many alternative holiday theatre offerings. Guests who attend four different productions will receive a free ticket from each theatre to one of their 2014 productions. Guests who attend all six productions will be entered into a drawing for one of five season subscriptions, consisting of memberships or ticket packages to the participating theatres. The Passport also includes discounts to select productions.
