KANSAS CITY CHOIR BOY with Courtney Love Begins Tonight at A.R.T's Oberon

The American Repertory Theater expands its 2015/16 Season programming with the OBERON Presents series, featuring a range of artists, companies, and programs. Up next is KANSAS CITY CHOIR BOY, with music and lyrics by Todd Almond, and featuring Courtney Love and Almond. The production runs tonight, October 1, through October 10, 2015.

KANSAS CITY CHOIR BOY with Courtney Love & More Set for '2015-16 Oberon Presents' Series

The American Repertory Theater expands its 2015/16 Season programming with the OBERON Presents series, featuring a range of artists, companies, and programs. As the second stage of the A.R.T., a unique club theater venue, OBERON challenges artists to explore new relationships with space, performance, and audience experience. OBERON hosts a range of experimental work -- these shows invite audiences to listen to new voices and to hear old stories in new ways. This exploration is integral to A.R.T.'s mission to expand the boundaries of theater.

The Soap Factory & Walker Art Center to Present WISE BLOOD

 Visual artist Chris Larson and composer Anthony Gatto join forces to bring the darkly humorous world of Flannery O'Connor's WISE BLOOD to life. Set in The Soap Factory, the post-industrial beauty of a 130-year-old factory turned art gallery, this wild and immersive opera-exhibition takes the audience on an intimate journey alongside the oftentimes eccentric and always captivating characters of this Southern Gothic tale. In this promenade style performance, audience is guided with the characters directly into, around, and through the galleries that feature large scale installation pieces, kinetic sculptures, and live music.

Ruby Slippers Theatre presents the touching and captivating double bill: Apres Moi and The List. These English translations of two French Canadian plays will take the audience on a very human journey through love, loss, compassion and memory and remind us that by letting other people in, if only briefly, our life's trajectory can be profoundly altered.

Full Cast Announced for GHOST STORIES Autumn Extension

After breaking box office records at London's Arts Theatre, the hit show GHOST STORIES has announced full casting as the show returns for a new booking period from Sunday 21 September 2014 to Sunday 18 January 2015.

Experiments in Opera to Premiere BROTHER, BROTHER at Abrons Art Center, 5/2-3

Experiments in Opera (www.ExperimentsInOpera.com) announces the premiere of Brother Brother, the final production of their 2013-14 Season at Abrons Arts Center, with music and libretto by Aaron Siegel. This 90-minute opera, which has been in development with Experiments in Opera for the last two seasons, explores the relationship between Orville and Wilbur Wright following their first flights in 1903. Scored for 2 vibraphones, glockenspiel, strings, flute, vocal soloists, actors and chorus, Brother Brother will be premiered on Friday May 2 and Saturday May 3, 8pm in the Playhouse at Abrons Art Center, 466 Grand Street, New York. Cariou and Storch Star in Canadian Premiere of 'Frost/Nixon' at CSC

The Canadian Stage Company opens its 2008/09 Bluma Appel Theatre season with Frost/Nixon, the 2007 Tony Award®-nominated play by Peter Morgan, award-winning author of The Last King of Scotland and The Queen. Tony Award®-winning stage and screen veteran Len Cariou (star of the original Broadway production of Sweeney Todd) plays the role of President Richard Nixon and is joined by David Storch (Canadian Stage's Lonesome West) as TV talk-show host David Frost. Three-time Dora Award-winner Ted Dykstra (Canadian Stage's Fire) directs. A co-production with Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, Frost/Nixon had its Canadian premiere September 18, 2008 in Vancouver. The production transfers to the Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto October 13 to November 8, 2008.
