Bay Area Cabaret, devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, enters its 10th season this fall with a gala series at the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room. To celebrate this significant milestone, Bay Area Cabaret presents a star-studded lineup of performers making their Bay Area Cabaret debuts, as well as the return of a few favorites from the past decade. Opening the season Saturday, September 21, 2013 with a bang is Broadway's Megan Hilty, known to millions as the powerhouse 'Bombshell' on NBC's television program Smash. The season continues October 20, 2013 with Tony nominee Norm Lewis (The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess) and November 10, 2013 with 'America's romantic piano sensation,' multi-platinum selling recording artist Jim Brickman, joined by special guest Broadway heartthrob David Burnham.

The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. Outside The Box proudly announces today the official schedule for its free nine day summer performing arts festival on Boston Common and City Hall Plaza (July 13-21). The inaugural festival will kick off at noon on Saturday July 13th on Boston Common with a special performance by the Boston Children's Chorus followed by Los Lonely Boys and Los Lobos. Festival headliners Buffalo Tom, The Lemonheads and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will perform live on Boston Common on Saturday July 20th beginning at 5pm.

Celebrating its 25th year, the 2013 KSBR Birthday Bash Jazz Festival, presented by Saddleback College radio station KSBR (88.5 FM), returns to the Village Green at Oso Viejo Park in Mission Viejo, today, May 26, 2013. Organizers are excited to announce the second annual Taste of the Bash, which was a wildly successful element introduced last year and will again feature more than 25 restaurants showing off their finest creations. The Taste is an added value so those purchasing tickets to the concert will be admitted to the Taste of the Bash for no additional charge. The Birthday Bash is the major fundraising event for KSBR.
