The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today eight plays to be developed at the 2011 National Playwrights Conference (NPC) under the leadership of Artistic Director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 47th season. Black Swan was the big winner at last night's 26th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica. Sandra Oh kicked off the red carpet with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an announcement that the LG Cinema 3D HDTV, the next generation 3D TV, made a $125,000 contribution to Film Independent's signature diversity program Project:Involve.

BroadwayWorld was reporting LIVE throughout Oscar night, February 27. The fun began at 7pm EST when the starts take to the red carpet. The ceremony was broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center on ABC. The Oscar presentation was also televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
