Profiles Theatre Presents World Premiere of Neil LaBute's Revised IN THE COMPANY OF MEN, Now thru 6/30

Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus present the World premiere of Resident Artist Neil LaBute's revised stage version of In the Company of Men, opening at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway. In the Company of Men, directed by Profiles Resident Artist and Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder, runs tonight, May 10-June 30, 2013. The press opening is on Thursday, May 16 at 8:00pm.

Profiles Theatre Announces Upcoming Season

Profiles Theatre Artistic Directors Darrell W. Cox and Joe Jahraus announce the 25th Anniversary Season featuring a full slate of new and challenging works premiering at the Profiles Theatre Complex on North Broadway. The upcoming season features six productions including the Midwest premieres of Wrecks by Neil LaBute, the award-winning play Cock by Mike Bartlett, Hunter Gatherers by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, In God's Hat by Rhett Rossi and Gidion's Knot by Johnna Adams. Additionally, Profiles acclaimed production of Hellcab by Will Kern, one of Chicago theatre's longest running hits, returns for the holiday season. These six productions alternate between Profiles' two venues, The Main Stage at 4139 N. Broadway and The Alley Stage at 4147 N. Broadway.

Profiles Theatre continues its 2012-2013 Season with the Midwest Premiere of The Dream of Burning Boy by West Read, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production, which was postponed due to a cast health matter, opened last night, April 1, 2013, and runs through April 14, 2013 at Profiles Theatre's Alley Stage, 4147 N. Broadway. On CHICAGO FIRE's upcoming episode, 'Warm and Dead,' a troubled Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) goes to the police when a man dies in a hardware store fire set by Ernie (guest star Cody Sullivan), the troubled teenage firebug he's been trying to help, and his Uncle Ray (guest star Darrell W. Cox). Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) decides on his future and reaches out to his father (guest star Treat Williams). Elsewhere, Otis (Yuri Sardarov) finds camaraderie when he fills in for a few shifts at the slowest firehouse in the city, and makes a decision of his own, while Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Shay (Lauren German) find themselves in a bad predicament during a call to a tenement apartment. Jesse Spencer, Charlie Barnett and David Eigenberg also star. Sarah Shahi, Kathleen Quinlan, Nicole Forester and Shiri Appleby guest star. 'Warm and Dead' is set to air Jan. 30 on NBC.

Profiles Theatre announces the final extension of their hit 20th Anniversary production of Hellcab by Will Kern, directed by Profiles Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. All cast members are continuing in their roles including Konstantin Khrustov as the driver and the original cast of 33 as the passengers. The production has been selling out since its opening on November 15, 2012 and has now been extended for the second and final time through February 24, 2013, at Profiles Theatre's Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway in Chicago.

Artistic Directors Joe Jahraus and Darrell W. Cox have announced Profiles Theatre's 2012 - 2013 Season. They also announced that acclaimed playwright Neil LaBute and Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder joined Profiles as Resident Artists. Five productions are planned for the upcoming 24th season, including the Midwest premieres of the award-winning Blood from a Stone in a newly revised version by playwright Tommy Nohilly, After by Chad Beckim, The Dream of the Burning Boy by David West Read and the Midwest premiere of Neil LaBute's controversial 2010 play The Break of Noon revised exclusively for Profiles Theatre. Additionally, one of Chicago theatre's longest running hits, Hellcab by Will Kern, returns for its 20th Anniversary production. These five productions alternate between Profiles' two venues, The Main Stage at 4139 N. Broadway and The Alley Stage at 4147 N. Broadway.
