The Young Vic and Catherine Schreiber present the UK premiere of The Scottsboro Boys, directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. The production stars original Broadway cast members Colman Domingo, who reprises his Tony Award nominated role of Mr. Bones, and Forrest McClendon, who plays Mr. Tambo. Seattle Center Festal to Host Italian Festival, 9/28-29

Live performances, audio-visual arts, foods, hands-on activities, games and a lively marketplace explore the cultural roots and contemporary influences of Italy and Italian-Americans in the Pacific Northwest at Seattle Center Festál: The Italian Festival, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29, in Seattle Center Armory, Fisher Pavilion and Seattle Center Pavilion.

THE HOBBIT's Graham McTavish & Gary Lewis Join Starz's OUTLANDER

Starz in association with Sony Pictures Television has announced today that Graham McTavish (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, '24') will play Dougal MacKenzie and Gary Lewis (Billy Elliot, Gangs of New York) will play Colum MacKenzie in the highly anticipated original series 'Outlander.' The series will be adapted from Diana Gabaldon's international best-selling books, with the first two episodes written by executive producer Ronald D. Moore ('Battlestar Galactica,' 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,' 'Star Trek: The Next Generation') and directed by John Dahl ('Dexter,' 'Breaking Bad,' 'Justified'). 'Outlander,' which is set to premiere on STARZ in 2014, will begin filming in Scotland, where the series is set, this fall.

Sideshow Theatre Stages 9 CIRCLES, Now thru 10/6

Sideshow Theatre Company, in association with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, will open its 2013-14 season with the Chicago premiere of 9 CIRCLES by Bill Cain, directed by Marti Lyons, playing tonight, August 29 - October 6, 2013 at The DCASE Storefront Theater, 66 E. AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN to Premiere 10/9 on FX

American Horror Story: Coven, the newest miniseries in the American Horror Story franchise, will debut on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on FX. Currently in production in New Orleans, the 13-part miniseries will air Wednesdays at 10:00 PM ET/PT though January of 2014.

Pianist Karine Poghosyan to Play St. Vartan Cathedral, 9/25

The vibrant young Armenian pianist Kariné Poghosyan will perform at St. Vartan Cathedral, 630 2nd Ave., New York City on Wednesday evening, September 25th, at 7:30 p.m., as part of the 2013-14 Concerts @ St.Vartan series. Ms. Poghosyan will also be leading the St. Vartan orchestra in their inaugural appearance. The program will include works by Schubert, Bach, and Liszt.

Inglis Hall to Present Midwest Premiere of THE LAST HAND, 9/13-10/20

Inglis Hall Productions proudly announces the Midwest premiere of The Last Hand based on true events in the violent streets of Chicago's West Side and written by Richard James Zieman, at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. STAGE TUBE: On This Day 8/17- A CHORUS LINE

Today in 2008, the first Broadway revival of A Chrous Line closed at the Schoenfeld Theatre, where it ran for 759 performances. A Chorus Line is a musical about Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line. The book was authored by James Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante, lyrics were written by Edward Kleban, and music was composed by Marvin Hamlisch. With nineteen main characters, it is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical. The show provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers. The original Broadway production received 12 Tony Award nominations and winning nine of them, in addition to the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
