Director Walter Meierjohann has announced the cast of the world premiere of The Funfair, the first HOME production in its brand new home at First Street in Manchester. An adaptation by Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens of Ödon von Horvath's classic 1932 play Kasimir and Karoline, the production features a cast of 13 actors and actor-musicians.

Joining Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the title role in Lyndsey Turner's production ofWilliam Shakespeare's Hamlet, are Leo Bill as Horatio, Sian Brooke as Ophelia,Anastasia Hille as Gertrude, Ciaran Hinds as Claudius, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith asLaertes and Jim Norton as Polonius.

Oh! Gunquit is a London-based 'rumble-bop trash blitz freak-a-billy' five-piece that formed in 2011 after neighbours Tina Swasey and Simon Wild met each other while frequenting a North London vinyl-only sweaty cellar club DJ night.

Rahman, best known in the United States for his Academy Award-, Golden Globe-, and Grammy-winning score for Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, will appear in person for the world premiere of Jai Ho, a new documentary about his career, at Museum of the Moving Image tonight, February 25, at 7:00 p.m.

Benedict Cumberbatch will play the title role in Lyndsey Turner's production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and presented by theBarbican. Today, 20 February 2015, it is announced that Hamlet will be broadcast to cinemas around the world on Thursday 15 October 2015 as part of National Theatre Live. Sonia Friedman Productions and National Theatre Live have announced an international broadcast of Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) in the title role in Lyndsey Turner's production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and presented by the Barbican, to cinemas internationally on Thursday, October 15, 2015.

The Daily Mail writes that the Barbican Theatre's summer 2015 production of HAMLET, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, will officially be broadcast via National Theatre Live on October 15 in the UK, Europe and the US, as well as later that same month in Japan (with subtitles), plus Brazil. Tickets go on sale March 16.

Universal Pictures announced today that STEVE JOBS will be released in theaters on Friday, October 9, 2015. The biopic will compete against The Finest Hours, Kidnap and Vacation, also set to hit theaters on that date.
