Derrick Baskin, Zak Resnick, & Daniel J. Watts to Join Bryan Fenkart in A DECADE OF IMPERFECTION at 54 Below, 8/11

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Bryan Fenkart in "A Decade of Imperfection" on August 11, 2015.  Derrick Baskin (Memphis, Spelling Bee), Sam Brown, Zak Resnick (Piece of My Heart, Mamma Mia) and Daniel J. Watts (After Midnight, Motown) join Bryan as he celebrates the 10 year anniversary of his debut album, "Imperfect Man". The evening will take us on the unpredictable journey of the everyman, told through Bryan's original music and the pop, rock and Broadway songs that have inspired him. 

Sherie Rene Scott Leads WHORL INSIDE A LOOP, Starting Tonight at Second Stage

Second Stage Theatre presents the world premiere production of Whorl Inside a Loop, a new play by Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott, co-directed by Michael Mayer and Mr. Scanlan, the creative team behind the Tony-nominated, critically acclaimed hit, Everyday Rapture, which had its world premiere at Second Stage Theatre in 2009. WHORL INSIDE A LOOP will begin performances tonight, August 4, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street).

Daniel J. Watts' THE JAM to Play LA's Federal Bar

After several sold out performances at New York City's Canal Room, Daniel J. Watts (After Midnight, Memphis) is finally bringing his spoken word based contemporary revue-style show to North Hollywood's Federal Bar on Monday, June 1st. Watts commented, 'I'm excited to finally let LA know what they've been missing.' The project is co-produced by WattsWords Productions and 515 Incorporated, the production company of Vivian Nixon (Smash, Women on the Verge). The Jam: Spoken Word Preserves is an innovative spoken word concert led by Daniel J. Watts.

'140 CHARACTERS' Set for Dixon Place Tonight

Written and co-directed by Broadway veteran Daniel J. Watts and Frack Theatre, 140 Characters is a new documentary play exploring one of the defining moments in this nation's recent history. The death of unarmed African American teen Michael Brown galvanized the public conversation around police violence towards black men, and to a greater extent, the oppression still encountered by people of color on a daily basis. The shooting and ensuing public outcry captured the attention of America and the world through social media. Using tweets from real life characters, 140 Characters moves this hashtag war out from behind the screen and brings it to life on stage.

Exclusive: Broadway Vets Partner for BROADWAY AT THE W in Hollywood

On June 12, musical theater revue show BROADWAY AT THE W opens at The Loft at W Hollywood, formerly Drai's Hollywood.  Broadway actors, dancers and producers from Tony-Award winning and fan-favorite shows including "South Pacific," "The Producers," "The Book of Mormon," "Motown the Musical" and "Les Miserables" have assembled the highest caliber of Los Angeles-based Broadway performers to offer Angelenos an intimate and heart-stopping taste of Broadway. Tickets start at $10. The show features a live band, rotating program and special celebrity guests. The producers intend to continue the show on a weekly basis at W Hollywood.
