Beginning today, September 27th with Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation, through Frances England's concert on March 28, 2015, a high-powered lineup bursts upon the Just Kidding stages, offering something for everyone: classic animation, interactive puppet theatre, hip hop, percussive dance, and sing-alongs with the most boredom-busting family musicians on the planet. The magnetically charged season also includes more Sunday performances than ever before.
The kids bluegrass band Astrograss will perform a concert for families on Sunday, October 12 at 11:30 am at The Jewish Museum. Presenting a rich blend of bluegrass, old-time, and folk music, Astrograss will lead the audience in sing-alongs to traditional classics and high-energy fiddle hoedowns. The band will also perform tunes from their 2012 album, Colored Pencil Factory, as well as songs celebrating the natural world in honor of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

OZ's 2014-15 program will conclude with the world premiere (June 18-20) of Memory Rings, the latest multi-media stage production from innovative New York City-based puppetry collective Phantom Limb Company.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Multi-platinum selling recording artist Natalie Merchant performs a Carnegie Hall Family Concert today, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Based on Merchant's recent book and music project Leave Your Sleep, the concert features nursery rhymes and lullabies by 19th- and 20th-century poets set to the singer's beautiful melodies, performed by a chamber orchestra and with projected illustrations by renowned artist Barbara McClintock. James Bagwell conducts the performance, which also features musicians from the dynamic chamber music collective Decoda, pianist and accordion player Uri Sharlin, and guitarist Gabriel Gordon. This Family Concert is presented by Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute and recommended for children ages 5?10.
