From the Fog Productions presents the London premiere of Best of Friends, featuring music, book, and lyrics by Nick Fogarty, now through Saturday 10 May at the Landor Theatre with performances Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 3:00pm. The Harold Clurman Playwrights Division, a program of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, has chosen actor/writer Dennis Staroselsky as it's Playwright-in-Residence for 2014. Previous residents include Halley Feiffer, Mia Chung, Anton Dudley, Christina Gorman, Zayd Dohrn, and Peter Nickowitz. Over seventy writers submitted applications and full-length plays for consideration in the merit-based annual search.

Nashville playwright Matthew Carlton's original work Hanging Mary is a highlight of Barter Theatre's twelfth annual Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights (AFPP) July 6-July 13 at Barter Stage II in Abingdon, Virginia. In addition to upcoming development stints with the New Harmony Project and the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Grounded will receive a staged reading at NNPN's Annual Conference at Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City, Mo., tonight June 8, directed by Artistic Director Cynthia Levin.

Open auditions for the 2011 New Play Festival will be held tomorrow August 15 & Tuesday August16, at 7:00 pm at Centre Stage. This is an excellent opportunity for all, the experienced actor, the novice actor or someone who has never auditioned before to try their hand with a play in the making. A group of four plays will be performed at the festival, September 12th - 16th, readers theatre style, with the voted favorite receiving a staged production in January 2012.
