Allegiance, a new musical inspired by a true-life story, starring George Takei, is coming to Broadway, also staring Lea Salonga and Telly Leung. Previews begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 with opening night set for Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). The company is busy getting ready to bring the show to Broadway, and producer/co-book writer Lorenzo Thione? recently chatted with BroadwayWorld about the process.  Thione told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge:

Producers Lorenzo Thione and Andrew Treagus announced complete casting for Allegiance, a new American musical starring George Takei, Lea Salonga and Telly Leung, set to open on Broadway next season at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Previews  begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 with opening night set for Sunday, November 8, 2015. As previously announced, Allegiance has a book by Marc Acito with music and lyrics by Jay Kuo. Helming the production is Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Off-Broadway's Bare, Carrie, Altar Boyz).

Broadway In Chicago and producers Paul Lambert, Jonas Neilson and Elizabeth Williams announced today the full cast for the premiere of the new Broadway-bound musical First Wives Club, which begins this winter at the Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph St.).

The world premiere production of the new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, written by Woody Allen, and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, and directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman, will play its final performance on Broadway today, August 24 at the St. James Theatre. Producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg today announced a General Rush policy for preview performances of BULLETS OVER BROADWAY. For each preview, a limited number of orchestra Rush tickets will be available each morning when the box office opens at 10 AM. Rush tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for $37 each, with a limit of two tickets per person.
