Following sixteen sold out shows, The Laurie Beechman Theatre will continue their hit series, SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED, for a seventeenth installment, Monday, August 29th at 7pm. With this performance, Sondheim Unplugged enters the second year of it's smash run, having begun this journey of celebrating Sondheim in July of 2010.

A 2-part extravaganza will be held featuring the world premiere of 'THE REAL LOVE,' a unique musical, as well as American icon Don McLean in concert. This exciting event is in celebration of Supreme Master Television's 5th anniversary of all-constructive global programming.

The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), 2011 IT Award Nominee for last season's The Human Comedy, announces their 11th Season featuring Ashlin Halfnight's A Hard Wall at High Speed and the musical The Secret Garden. Daisy Eagan, who is the youngest actress to ever win a Tony Award, will make her long awaited return to the New York stage in the new musical Ghostlight. According to press notes 'Ghostlight excavates the true story of Olive Thomas, a small-town girl who rises to headline alongside Fanny Brice in the Ziegfeld Follies. Seduced by the decadent world of the theater, Olive stumbles into a secret affair, an unfulfilling Hollywood marriage, and a downward spiral into drugs and alcohol. An homage to Broadway's Golden Age, Ghostlight captures the glamorous and tragic lives of those who changed the face of the American musical forever.' Eagan will play the role of Molly Cook, Olive's best friend and fellow showgirl, who ultimately unleashes a major secret.

Last night, stars of screen and stage took part in Gay Pride at Barefoot Wine Presents: Celebrity Autobiography in NYC. Michael Urie, Kristen Johnston, Mo Rocca, Rachel Dratch, Mario Cantone and Sharon Gless rounded out the cast, who read from the pages of other celebrities' autobiographies. The cast also celebrated New York's recent legalization of same-sex marriage, commenting on this national milestone before each reading.

It was an all star rotating line-up at the CAP Theatre ('Complete Actors Place') in Sherman Oaks from Sunday, May 8th - Tuesday May 10th as noted screen, TV and stage personalities tackled various theatrical renditions, made famous by Eve Ensler, from what has become the most effective exercise in reclaiming feminine power -"The Vagina Monologues."

The Broadway community once again opened its arms to the students of John A. Coleman Catholic High School of Hurley, New York. The school, which has gained a reputation for some of the best young musical theater talent in the Hudson River Valley, produced The Secret Garden in honor of the 20th anniversary of the show's Broadway debut in April of 1991. The cast of Coleman Musical Theater's production recently traveled into New York City to meet members of the original Broadway cast.
