New York City Center's Encores! 2007 Season pays tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the first Ziegfeld Follies, kicking off the celebration with Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's legendary 1971 multiple Tony Award-winner, Follies, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with music direction by Eric Stern. Follies will play for six performances, from February 8 - 12 at New York City Center, 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
With the casting of Colin Donnell as Young Ben and Natalie King Smith as Young Dee Dee, casting for the eagerly anticipated Encores! production of Follies is now complete.
February 27 will see the New York Musical Theatre Festival celebrate a birthday of sorts, with its 'Best of Fest Bash' presenting the highlights of their first two big years.
The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), whose annual three-week celebration has premiered more than 70 new musicals in the past two years, will present a one-night-only benefit concert, 'The Best of Fest Bash,' on Monday, February 27 at Dodger Stages (340 W. 50th St.). Showtime is 7 p.m.
