THAT POOR DREAM, I LAND and More Set for 2013 Ice Factory Festival at New Ohio Theatre, 6/26-8/3

Artistic Director Robert Lyons presents the 20th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2013 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Ice Factory 2013 will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with six new works over six weeks, running from June 26 - August 3, 2013.

soloNOVA Presents Two Solo Stars at the SoloNOVA Arts Festival, 5/22-6/11

TerraNOVA COLLECTIVE and Producing Artistic Director, Jennifer Conley Darling, are pleased to announce two special headliner events as part of the 10TH Annual soloNOVA Arts Festival, the award-winning and longest-running solo performance festival in New York City. Acclaimed mime, Bill Bowers' BEYOND WORDS, and Jeanne Sakata's HOLD THESE TRUTHS performed by the 2013 Drama Desk Award nominee Joel De La Fuente, will be presented in celebration of the art of solo storytelling.

Raging Squid Ink to Bring THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE to La Luz, 9/18-10/13

Raging Squid Ink and Eric Schmalenberger have announced the world premiere production of Jake Thomas' THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE, video art directed by Sean Gill and directed and choreographed by Rachel Klein. THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE will play a limited engagement at La Luz (135 Thames Street, Brooklyn, NY). Performances begin Wednesday, September 18 and continue through Saturday, October 13. Opening Night is Friday, September 20 (8 p.m.).

Roots & Wings Theatrical's 6th Annual 'Duct Tape and A Dream Festival' Set for May

For the sixth installment of the Duct Tape and A Dream Festival, collaborative new works company Roots and Wings will showcase eight fresh premiers divided between two programs running in repertory May 15th-19th, 2013: A "Duct Tape" Program and a "Dream" Program. Both nightly programs are anchored by one longer piece and feature three shorter new works. The festival is truly eclectic including dance, clowning, devised theatre, a multi-media show, and new plays exploring a variety of subjects all written by emerging artists. The programs will play in rotation at the Bridge Theatre @ Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street, 12th Floor.

History Theatre presents the regional premiere of a new musical about the lives and works of St. Paul's original "it" couple, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. As glittering emblems of the Jazz Age, their romance reflected the era during which they lived: highs and lows, boom and bust, a thrilling rise and a devastating crash. This Side of Paradise, which premiered off-Broadway in 2010, is seen from the point of view of Zelda at the age of 39, looking back on her life with Scott using music and dance to capture both the joy of their romance and their struggles for artistic identity and fame. Culture Project's Women Center Stage Opens BLONDIE OF ARABIA 4/16

Culture Project's Women Center Stage (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director & Founder) will present a limited engagement of Blondie of Arabia, written and performed by Monica Hunken and directed by Laura Newman, beginning Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Culture Project at 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette Street).

Dancing Wheels' to Present World Premiere of Anti-Bullying Piece DARING TO BE DUMBO, 5/9-11

As the top recipient of the Cuyahoga County Arts and Culture's 'Creative Culture' grant, The Dancing Wheels Company will initiate a year-long campaign to bring new hope and a vision of possibility to those who have struggled with the indignities of bullying and other social injustices. The springboard for the campaign is the world premiere of Daring to be Dumbo, an eye-opening production performed by Dancing Wheels' dancers with and without disabilities and choreographed by the esteemed film maker, director and choreographer David Rousseve.

The Flea Premieres WHITE HOT by Tommy Smith, Beginning 4/26

The Flea Theater will present the New York Premiere of WHITE HOT by Tommy Smith (Pigeon, The Wife). It is directed by Courtney Ulrich and stars The Bats. Performances run April 26 - May 26 at The Flea (41 White Street between Church and Broadway in Tribeca).

Pulitzer Prize Winner Ron Suskind Appears at Tonight's SHAHEED Talkback at Culture Project

Join Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Ron Suskind, the last major journalist to interview Benazir Bhutto, for a special post-performance discussion tonight, Monday, April 8th at 7:30 P.M. with Anna Khaja, writer and performer of the acclaimed new play, Lafayette Street). Ms. Khaja relied on Mr. Suskind's 2008 bestseller, 'The Way of the World,' for insights in Bhutto's final days.

Opera-Infused Play RISE Set for Theatre 54, Now thru 4/20

Roots and Wings Theatrical has announced the world premiere production of RISE, directed by Samantha Shechtman. RISE will play a three-week limited engagement at Theatre 54 (244 W. 54th Street, 12th Floor). Performances begin tonight, April 5 and continue through Saturday, April 20. Opening Night is tonight, April 5 (8 p.m.).

Wonderlist's BUREAU OF MISSING PERSONS to Begin 6/14 at NYTW's 4th Street Theater

After an acclaimed premiere in San Diego, Wonderlist Productions and Neighborhood Productions presents the New York Premiere of BUREAU OF MISSING PERSONS by award-winning playwright Lila Rose Kaplan. Directed by Sarah Rasmussen, the production begins previews begin June 14 at New York Theatre Workshop's 4th Street Theater. Opening is slated for June 19.

Culture Project Adds Three Weeks to SHAHEED: THE DREAM AND DEATH OF BENAZIR BHUTTO's Run

By popular demand, Culture Project's Women Center Stage has announced a three-week extension of the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new play, Shaheed: The Dream and Death of Benazir Bhutto, written and performed by Anna Khaja and directed by Heather de Michele. Performances began March 8, 2013, with opening night soon after on March 14, 2013. The limited engagement was originally set to end April 1, 2013 but will now continue through Sunday afternoon, April 21, 2013 at Culture Project at 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette Street).
