A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . The Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots celebrates its 500th Performance tonight, June 19th, at the Hirschfeld Theatre.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will celebrate its 500th Performance on Thursday, June 19th with a social media contest for fans. Beginning today, fans can enter to win tickets to the 500th Performance by using a Do-It-Yourself Kinky Boots Card to add the show's iconic red boots to their photos, and sharing those photos online using hashtag #Kinky500.. On Tuesday, June 17th, the five most creative photos will be selected, and the winners will be given a pair of tickets to celebrate with the cast on June 19th at the Hirschfeld Theatre.

Just last night, the cast and creative team of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots celebrated the show's one year anniversary with a celebratory curtain call and cake. With a Tony Award-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a book by four-time Tony Award-winnerHarvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots opened on April 4, 2013 and continues to play to standing-room-only crowds nightly. The show, which has broken all box office records at the Hirshfeld Theatre, recouped its costs in October 2013, after just 30 weeks on Broadway. Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kinky Boots, the Tony Award-winning musical, will celebrate its 100,000th fan 'Like' on Facebook by offering free tickets to lottery entrants for the week of March 18-23, 2014. For this week only, the production will offer 10 pairs of free tickets to each performance, in place of the regular $37 lottery price.

Broadway's smash hit musical Kinky Boots has a new cast treading the boards at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre: Andy Kelso, who previously played 'Harry', takes over the role of 'Charlie Price', Jeanna de Waal joins the cast as 'Lauren'; Jake Odmark is now playing the ensemble in the roles previously played by Andy Kelso; and Cortney Wolfson has taken over as 'Nicola.' Jeanna de Waal joins the cast as 'Lauren' (replacing Annaleigh Ashford, who leaves to join the cast of Showtime's 'Masters of Sex'), and Cortney Wolfson, who was previously in the ensemble, moves up to the role of 'Nicola' (replacing Lena Hall, who leaves to join the cast of Hedwig and the Angry Inch). Anna Eilinsfeld takes over Wolfson's role in the cast.
