Critically-acclaimed British singer/songwriter Birdy has announced the release of her U.S.-only EP, BREATHE, out today, September 24th on Atlantic Records. BREATHE comes on the heels of Birdy's globally successful self-titled debut album which was released in 2011. Birdy's next full length album, FIRE WITHIN will be released in the States in spring '14.

The Art House in Provincetown will be in high gear again next month for Women's Week. Comedian Judy Gold returns by popular demand October 16 - 19. She is a Drama Desk and GLAAD Award winner for 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, and host of TV's Mom's Night Out, Tru TV Presents World's Dumbest, has been a guest host of ABC's The View and frequent guest on The Joy Behar show. Joining her on the bill is another P-Town favorite, Folk-rocker Melissa Ferrick who returns October 17 - 19 at 7pm. She is a 6-time Boston Music and GLAMA winner and has shared stages with Bob Dylan, Weezer and Ani DiFranco. And - returning for the first time since 2011, is BETTY, from October 17 - 19. This cult-favorite all-female New York pop-rock band led by Alyson Palmer and sisters Elizabeth and Amy Ziff wrote and performed the theme song for Showtime TV's The L Word, and have been heard extensively on radio, TV, film, commercials and political rallies. This fall, COMEDY CENTRAL is looking for the best new stand-up talent in the country including the Bay Area by holding 'Up Next' A CC: Certified Talent Search through the network's Certified Clubs program. 'Up Next' A CC: Certified Talent Search will consist of comedians performing in preliminary local showcases hosted by Cobb's Comedy Club and 25 other participating Certified Clubs from September 3-23. The preliminary showcase for Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco will take place tonight, September 15, 7:30pm.

This fall's line-up features many of the best known names in comedy today, including Greg Proops, Dave Foley, Tony Rock, Moshe Kasher, Carmen Lynch, Ian Bagg, Maz Jobrani, D.L. Hughley, Christopher Titus, Kyle Kinane and Loni Love. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee that hosts the evening. Additional special events scheduled for September include "Hollywood Said No!" with David Cross, Bob Odenkirk & Brian Posehn, and "Risk! Live" hosted by Kevin Allison. The Sherman Chamber Ensemble's summer season continues Labor Day weekend with the annual SCE Bluegrass & Beyond! performances on Saturday, August 31st at 2:00 PM at the Lake Mauweehoo Clubhouse on Leach Hollow Road in Sherman, CT and on Sunday, September 1st at 1 PM at the Kent Village Barns in downtown Kent, CT.
