Bucks County Playhouse has announced a special two day engagement of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters, starring theatre, television and film legends Tyne Daly and James Earl Jones. Love Letters will be performed on Saturday, October 20th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street). Following the Saturday evening performance, there will be a benefit reception underwritten by The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm (barleysheaf.com) to honor the cast and raise money for the Playhouse.

It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play by Joe Landry will run from Thursday, December 13th through Sunday, December 30th at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street).
In this, his 19th Broadway show, Hearn will portray the dual roles of James Kennedy, Aimee's kindhearted father; and Brother Bob, a popular preacher whose growing resentment of Aimee and her public power fuels him to vehemently discredit her from his pulpit.

Broadway and television actor Jason Kravits (Relatively Speaking, "The Practice") will host "Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music", a little over one week after what would have been Oscar Hammerstein II's 117th birthday, tonight, July 22nd at 6:30 p.m. at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street). The presentation will be preceded by a special outdoor BBQ Style dinner hosted by Hamilton's Grill Room beginning at 5:00 p.m.

As a special homage to Theodore Mann, Circle in the Square's co-founder, artistic director, and
co-producer who passed away on February 24th of this year, Circle in the Square Theatre School is inviting the theater-going public, the theater community and those who worked with him to share their remembrances of Mann and the over 175 productions that he with Jose Quintero, and later with Paul Libin brought to the stage.

Last night, July 2, was the Bucks County Playhouse re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as the first performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing. The first production of the Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) 2012 summer season, A Grand Night for Singing will run through Sunday, July 29th. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place 73 years and a day after The Playhouse first opened in 1939. Special guests included Mayor Laurence Keller (New Hope), Chris Hart (son of Moss Hart), Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Cawley, Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick (U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district), and Will Hammerstein (Grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II). Women's Project will end its 34th season with an off-Broadway show of epic proportions when seven playwrights, four directors, three producers and five actors collaborate on one world premiere play titled from the famous Ellen Stewart quote We Play for The Gods.
