Jeremy Kushnier (Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Rachel York (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) and Jack Noseworthy (A Chorus Line, Sweet Smell of Success) lead the cast of New York Musical Theater Festival's 'Stealing Time,' the latest work of writers/composers Tor Hyams and Lisa Neubauer. 'Stealing Time' will play as a special event in the 2012 New York Musical Theater Festival at the PTC Performance Space. 'Stealing Time' is the second NYMF project for Hyams coming off the success of 'Greenwood' starring Andrea McArdle in the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival.
On July 9, at the New York Musical Theater Festival, director Michael Bush brings to life Jonathan Brielle's "Himself and Nora", a musical tale of one of the greatest romances of the 20th Century -Himself...the brilliant and hard drinking Irish novelist James Joyce, Nora...the passionate chambermaid Nora Barnacle who became his lover, his partner, and his muse for 29 years. In this bawdy and funny, uplifting, and melodic new musical, "Himself and Nora" sings the story of one of the great love affairs of the time. A love which resulted in their exile from their beloved Ireland, the condemnation of the Catholic church, and ultimately some of the greatest writing of the 20th century.
The 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival, Red Hen Productions, The Schramm Group LLC and Gramily Entertainment present the New York premiere of RE-ANIMATOR™ THE MUSICAL featuring George Wendt ("Cheers", Broadway's Elf). The 2012 66th Annual Tony Awards will be simulcast live to Times Square on Sunday, June 10th. The event, sponsored by Official Beauty Partner of the Tony Awards, Nexxus Salon Hair Care, will be hosted by 2004 Tony Award winning musical, AVENUE Q puppets Rod and Lucy. The Tony Awards, in partnership with the Times Square Alliance and Clear Channel Spectacolor will air the Tony Awards Red Carpet courtesy of NY1 and the entirety of the Tony Awards show, including the Creative Arts Awards, on Clear Channel's SpectacolorHD screen in Times Square on Sunday, June 10th, from 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
