Prepare ye for Actors' Playhouse's 25th Anniversary as the company kicks off its celebratory 2012-2013 Season with the hit Broadway musical Godspell. Based on The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Godspell remains one of the most popular rock musicals of all time. Messages of love, generosity, and joy are presented in song, dance, and all forms of theatrical play in this exuberant, rocking, rolling, and riveting production playing from tonight, October 10 through November 4 at the Miracle Theatre.

Empire Stage And Island City Stage Present THE TWENTIETH-CENTURY WAY, Opening 8/11

Island City Stage and Empire Stage have announced their co-production of the play 'The Twentieth-Century Way' by Tom Jacobson, which will be performed at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Dr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304, beginning August 9. The official opening is set for August 11, 2012, and the play will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 5:00pm, through September 9. The ticket price is $30, $20 for previews. For reservations or further information, call 954-678-1496. Clayton Phillips makes his directorial debut at the Miami Beach Stage Door Theatre, leading a cast of accomplished actors in what promises to be a riveting production. Currently the Production Manager for Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Clayton has also directed local Florida productions of Music Man, Hairspray and Chicago for Lake Worth Playhouse and The Outgoing Tide for Arts Garage in Delray Beach. He is the recipient of the New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Director for his production of John Pielmeier's Slow Dance With A Hot Pick-Up and was Harold Prince's assistant for the Broadway and touring productions of Kiss of the Spider Woman, Candide and Parade.

The Silver Palm Awards committee - founded four years ago to honor theatrical excellence in South Florida - has announced that this year it will present the coveted award to 17 individuals, including two for direction of plays, two for playwriting and one for creating a memorable fighting sequence. Also among the honorees is Mosaic Theatre for its ensemble work in the 2011 production of The Irish Curse.

What follows is a musically accompanied account of the skin crawling, zombie fighting, brain craving mayhem and a true testament to the couple's 'Undying Love.' Named Creative Loafing Readers' Pick for Best Theater Premiere & Best Play in Atlanta, The Promethean Theatre is the first theatre outside of Dad's Garage to produce this play.
