Tom Dudzick's OVER THE TAVERN Opens Penguin Rep's Season 5/14-6/6

A major regional theatre hit is finally playing the New York metropolitan area. The play is the semi-autobiographical comedy Over the Tavern written by Nyack (Rockland County), New York's own Tom Dudzick. The theatre is Penguin Rep in Stony Point, where Dudzick's comedy Miracle on South Division Street had its premiere last year.

CLANDESTINE Debuts at Planet Connections 6/3

Things are never exactly what they seem; as illuminated by NewGround Theatre Collective's production of Clandestine, a series of six short works about love, friendship, family, and the secrets that are all-too-often part and parcel of any relationship. Clandestine will begin performances on June 3rd at the Gene Frankel Theatre, located at 24 Bond Street, as part of the 2nd Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Members of the press are invited to all performances.

Cortland Repertory Theatre Presents SPIDER'S WEB 6/9-19

Cortland Repertory Theatre opens their 39th annual season at the Little York Pavilion with 'Spider's Web', a thrilling and intriguing play written by the Grand Dame of Mystery, Agatha Christie. While written in the usual fashion of Christie, with twists, turns and red-herrings, the play also has a healthy dose of humor injected by the infamous playwright. It also has the distinction of being one of two original Christie plays, written specifically as a play and not based on one of her novels.

MOMA PS1 Presents Greater New York Exhibit 5/23-10/18

Greater New York, the third iteration of the quintennial exhibition organized by MoMA PS1 and The Museum of Modern Art, showcasing some 68 artists and collectives living and working in the metropolitan New York area, will open at MoMA PS1 on May 23 and run through October 18, 2010.

Joan Hart & Lawrence Star in New ABC Sitcom 'Melissa and Joey;' Begins 8/17

According to TVGuide.com, the new ABC Family Channel series, 'Melissa and Joey' will premiere on Tuesday, August 17 and 8 pm. Starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, ten episodes have been ordered for the series. 'Melissa and Joey' stars Lawrence as a nanny working for a female politician (Hart) who is forced to take care of her sister's two kids.
