Performance Space 122's annual performance festival, Coil, returns for its twelfth edition with 13 individual events.

???????Performance Space 122 (PS122) has appointed Jenny Schlenzka, a respected curator of performance at MoMA PS1, as its next Executive Artistic Director, Board President Enrico Ciotti announced today.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) begins performances for the 13th annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL on Wednesday, January 4.

In its annual Curators'Choice series, a selection of some of the best and most adventurous films released in the past year, Museum of the Moving Image will present ten titles, from December 30, 2016 through January 8, 2017.

Made for a very small audience, and performed during daylight hours, Untitled uses light, set and sound to ruminate on the passage of time, our perception of it, and to pose questions about how alert an audience can be as both individuals and a group.

MCC Theater is conducting a casting search for transgender and gender non-conforming performers, as it prepares for the newly announced first show of its 2017-18 Season: the NYC premiere of Charm, a play by Chicago-based, Jefferson Award-winning playwright Philip Dawkins to be directed by Helen Hayes Award winner Will Davis, a transgender artist.

Friends of the High Line is pleased to announce that The Gaits, a sound-based walk on the High Line, will return to the High Line today, December 21, at 5:00 PM. The Gaits: A High Line Soundwalk is a free, immersive, smartphone application that features a score of electric guitar chords, zen gongs, and more composed by Lainie Fefferman, Jascha Narveson, and Cameron Britt.

As part of the twelfth edition of PS122's Coil festival, BRIC, Dance Film Association, and Performance Space 122 presents the world premiere of La Medea, Yara Travieso's re-imagining of Euripides' violent tragedy into a dance-theater performance and feature film a la Latin-disco-pop variety show.

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the world premiere of GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM, written by Martin Sherman. Directed by Sean Mathias, the show begins previews on Tuesday, March 14 and has been extended one week through Sunday, April 23, with an official press opening on Wednesday, April 5.

The Staten Island Children's Museum is excited to share their newest interactive exhibit, Sensory Imaging with their members and visitors.  Created to immerse children in multi-sensory exploration, a 'magic' screen reacts to children's touch by displaying brilliant bursts of color wherever it's touched.  The deeper or firmer the touch, the bigger the burst of color! The exhibit empowers children (of ALL ages!) to experiment with sensory processing.  Most of all, it's just plain fun!

Jake Ehrenreich, playwright, author and academically recognized expert on Comedy, Catskills and the Holocaust, will present a completely updated version of his beloved autobiographical comedy musical A Jew Grows in Brooklyn, when A Jew Grows in Brooklyn 2.0 opens at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center in Boca Raton for a limited four week run from February 2 - 26.
