The Old Globe Hosts 2nd Annual New Voices Festival This Weekend

The Old Globe today announced it will present the Second Annual New Voices Festival, a weekend of readings of new American plays by professional playwrights, this weekend, December 12 - 14, 2014.

Cincinnati Playhouse Extends TENDERLY: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL

Due to continued demand for tickets, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has added a second extension to its popular production of TENDERLY: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL, which celebrates Cincinnati's legendary 'girl singer.' The show, originally set to close on Dec. 28 and then extended through Jan. 4, now will run through Jan. 11, 2015.

Perseverance Theatre to Present A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 12/19-28

Perseverance Theatre (PT) presents the holiday classic adapted from Charles Dickens' Original by Arlitia Jones and Michael Evan Haney. A holiday favorite, A Christmas Carol, performs for two weeks December 19-28, with one Pay-As-You-Can preview on December 18, in the Discovery Theatre at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. Share Scrooge's miraculous transformation with the whole family and experience the remembrance of the true meaning of Christmas. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Extends PITBULLS

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that following strong reviews Pitbulls, written by Keith Josef Adkins and directed by Leah Gardiner, will extend one week through Saturday, December 20, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. (Pitbulls had originally been scheduled to close on December 13.)

This December, Marin Theatre Company continues its 48th Season with a presentation of Reduced Shakespeare Company performing their The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), starring writer/directors Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, with Dominic Conti. Three holiday spirits - Christmas Past, Present and Future - conspire to redeem a miserly humbug at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as U.S. Bank presents Charles Dickens' iconic holiday story, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. The beloved tale, enjoyed each season by multiple generations of Cincinnatians, will be performed for its 24th year in the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre from tonight Nov. 26 through Dec. 28.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, now in its 38th Season, has announced the cast for the East Coast premiere of FILM CHINOIS, an atmospheric noir mystery set in 1940s China written by Singaporean playwright Damon Chua and directed by Kaipo Schwab. The production will begin previews on January 17, 2015 and run until February 8, 2015 at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer). The official opening is on Thursday, January 22 at 7:30PM.
