Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Jill Furman Willis, the producers of the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights, announced today that Bianca Marroquin will take over the role of 'Daniela' for 9 weeks only from Saturday, June 12, through Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). In The Heights currently stars Corbin Bleu (through August 17), and beginning August 19 will star American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario. Making her Broadway debut in In The Heights Thursday, August 19, 2010, 20 year old Jordin Sparks will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010.

IN THE HEIGHTS cast member Doreen Montalvo will host Cabaret Cares 3, a benefit for 'Help Is On The Way Today,' a not-for-profit organization assisting children and teens living with HIV/AIDS in both New York City and Africa. The Monday, March 22 show will feature performances by sixteen members of the IN THE HEIGHTS cast: Doreen Montalvo, Michael Balderrama, Blanca Camacho, Tony Chiroldes, Rubén Flores, Afra Hines, Christopher Jackson, Marcus Paul James, Stephanie Klemons, Nina LaFarga, Javier Munoz, Rick Negron, Courtney Reed, Jon Rua, Gabrielle Ruiz, Luis Salgado and special guests.

Several members of the current cast of Broadway's IN THE HEIGHTS will perform at the upcoming Cabaret Cares 3 concert, which will take place at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on March 22nd.

Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster returned to Broadway Artists Alliance to lead a master class in Song Interpretation. Ms. Foster worked one-on-one with each student, interpreting the lyrics and bringing out the best performance in each of them. Her down-to-earth personality and accessibility created a wonderful working environment.

Tony Award-winning actress Karen Olivo delighted students as their special surprise guest during the Broadway Artists Alliance 2010 Winter Workshop.

The cast of IN THE HEIGHTS came together to celebrate Corbin Bleu's official opening in the show with a party on Tuesday, February 23rd at Angus McIndoe.

Corbin Bleu is the first star of the popular High School Musical film franchise to hit Broadway as he steps into the role of bodega owner Usnavi in IN THE HEIGHTS. Bleu will remain in the show through April 25, 2010. Jordin Sparks attended the show on Friday night, February 12th and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture her backstage! Sparks was the youngest winner ever of AMERICAN IDOL, doing so at the age of 17 for the shows' sixth season. She has since sold more than 9 million albums worldwide.

Corbin Bleu will be the first star of the popular High School Musical film franchise to hit Broadway when he steps into the role of bodega owner Usnavi in IN THE HEIGHTS. Bleu will star in the show from January 25 - April 25, 2010. Corbin Bleu starred in the Emmy-award winning Disney Channel Original Movie 'High School Musical' and its sequel, 'High School Musical 2' alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale. Bleu plays, Chad , the devoted basketball player and best friend to Troy (Efron). 'High School Musical 2' premiered to 18 million viewers, making it the highest rated Disney Channel Original Movie in history and overall highest rated program in cable history.

The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights, welcomes back original cast member Janet Dacal as 'Nina' on Friday, February 19, 2010, and welcomes David Del Rio as 'Sonny' on Monday, February 15, 2010.

Andréa Burns (In the Heights, The Ritz, The Full Monty, Beauty and the Beast) mentored the young performers of Broadway Artists Alliance this past Sunday, December 20th.

Students were engaged and challenged as they learned original Jerome Robbins choreography in a morning dance class, led by West Side Story's dance captain Marina Lazzaretto, on Saturday, December 19.

BAA will continue their one-day master class series December 19th and 20th with master classes in the themes of 'West Side Story' and 'In the Heights'. 'West Side Story' master class students will learn original choreography from dance captain Marina Lazzaretto, and will partake in a "Song Interpretation" class with the hit revival's original Tony, Matt Canvenaugh. 'In the Heights' class participants will receive one-one-one feedback from star Andrea Burns, and will also have the opportunity to sing for Telsey & Co. Casting.
