Curve today announces casting for their Christmas production of the hit musical Grease. Dex Lee and Jessica Paul lead the cast as Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski with Keisha Atwell, Darren Bennett, Sophie Camble, Jonny Fines, Courtney George, Luke George, Shobna Gulati, Patrick Harper, Abigayle Honeywill, Sophie Isaacs, Max Jorquera, Sinead Kenny, Nathanael Landskroner, Michael Lin, Martin McCarthy, Sam Murphy, Djalenga Scott, Justin Thomas and Natalie Woods completing the company. The production opens on 1 December, with previews from 26 November, and runs until 14 January.

Curve has been awarded Arts Council England funding to adapt Amana Fontanella-Khan's critically acclaimed documentary novel Pink Sari Revolution for the stage. The £100,000 award is part of Art Council England's 'Reimagine India' programme that aims to develop new work and collaborations between arts and cultural organisations in England and India. The project marks the 70th anniversary of the partition of India and Pakistan.

Today, Curve Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster, announces the cast for his production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated actress Cathy Tyson will star as the iconic Lady Bracknell in Foster's stylish reimagining of Wilde's much-loved comedy. Cathy is best known for her role in the multi-award winning film Mona Lisa, classic ITV drama series Band of Gold and her stage work with the RSC and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.

Curve is delighted to announce its new production of the award-winning West End and Broadway smash hit musical comedy Legally Blonde, playing at the theatre until Saturday the 14th May, will embark upon a two week run at Deagu Opera House in South Korea. Working with Richard Darbourne Ltd as part of the Deagu International Music Festival, the musical, directed by Curve Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, will perform internationally from 25th June to Saturday 2nd July.

Joanne Benjamin has been appointed Executive Producer of Leicester's Curve theatre replacing Chris Stafford who was appointed Chief Executive at Curve earlier this year. Joanne joins from Hackney Empire, where she has been Producer since 2014.
Curve takes centre stage this evening in a major new BBC documentary series. The half hour programme, which airs tonight 9th November at 7.30pm on BBC One East Midlands, will run as part of BBC's ON STAGE - a special season of programmes that celebrates British theatre and particularly focuses on the success of some of the UK's key regional theatres.
Chris Stafford has been appointed the new Chief Executive of Curve Leicester following Fiona Allan's departure to lead Birmingham Hippodrome this autumn. Curve is delighted to have found its next Chief Executive from amongst its Senior Management team, where Stafford has been working as Executive Producer for the past two years.
Nikolai Foster's celebrated anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing will return to the West End in 2015, playing a limited season at the Arts Theatre where it originally enjoyed sell-out success, from 3 June - 11 July. This London season will be part of an 18 week UK tour, opening in Canterbury in March, then visiting Birmingham, Manchester, Guildford, Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Cardiff and Brighton.
