BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that the full cast of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, will perform in City Parks Foundation's SummerStage festival in Central Park for one-night-only, on Monday, August 3 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM).

Final casting has been announced for BLAME CANADA!, an evening featuring the best in Canadian musical theatre happening at 54 BELOW on Monday, June 15 at 9:30pm. Clyde Alves, who currently stars as Ozzie in the Broadway revival of On The Town, hosts the evening that celebrates work by members of the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective (CMTWC).

Founded by Landon Braverman and Joseph Trefler, CMTWC is a new national organization devoted to supporting and promoting the work of Canadian musical theatre writers both at home and abroad.

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented their annual Spring Gala last night, at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's gala was hosted by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski ('The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,' Nine) and featured special guest and Tony Award nominee for Airline Highway K. Todd Freeman, and performances by many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including: Beautiful, Finding Neverland, Gigi, It Shoulda Been You, On The Town, Something Rotten!, and The Visit. BEAUTIFUL's newest star Chilina Kennedy just released a solo folk-pop album titled WHAT YOU FIND IN A BOTTLE on April 14, 2015 via Ollies Records. She will appear at The Cutting Room this coming Monday, May 4th, to celebrate the record's release.
