AmEx Presale Tickets for AMERICAN IDIOT Now Available

Tickets for the Broadway run of AMERICAN IDIOT are now available exclusively to American Express card holders. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on February 14th. AMERICAN IDIOT will begin previews on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 and open on Broadway Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the St. James Theatre.

Casting Announced for Trinity Rep's Production of DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE, Opening 2/19

Trinity Rep continues its 46th season with Sarah Ruhl's dark comedy Dead Man's Cell Phone, directed by Beth F. Milles. Trinity Rep resident acting company member Janice Duclos stars as Jean, an unassuming woman who is thrown headlong into an unexpected odyssey when she answers an incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café.

Red Bull Theater Presents a Rare Revival Of THE DUCHESS OF MALFI

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director) will present John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi, directed by Mr. Berger, for a limited engagement beginning February 23rd and continuing through March 14th, at Theater at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Young Jean Lee's LEAR Opens at Soho Rep, 1/14

Soho Rep, the eleven-time OBIE Award-winning, Off-Broadway theatre company, kicks off its 2009-2010 season with the highly anticipated World Premiere of LEAR, the most ambitious and visually opulent work to date by the celebrated playwright/director Young Jean Lee. Spike Lee's PASSING STRANGE Gets PBS Broadcast, 1/13

The show universally applauded for its originality, deep emotional resonance, and powerful, high-octane score, makes its broadcast debut on THIRTEEN'S Great Performances on PBS. Passing Strange, the Spike Lee-directed film featuring the award-winning Broadway rock musical of the same title, will air in primetime on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 9 p.m. EST (check local listings).

Theatre for a New Audience Presents MEASURE FOR MEASURE, Previews 2/6

Arin Arbus, the director of last season's Theatre for a New Audience production of Othello, will direct the Bard's provocative, funny and modern comedy, Measure for Measure, for a limited engagement that begins previews Saturday, February 6, for an opening Sunday, February 14, at 7:00pm.

STAGE TUBE: A Look Back at the Berkeley Rep Production of AMERICAN IDIOT

Following the record-breaking and critically acclaimed engagement of 'American Idiot' at the Berkeley Rep, the production is now Broadway-bound. 'American Idiot' will begin previews in March 2010 and open on Broadway in April at the St. James Theatre. The Broadway cast will be announced shortly.

DO NOT GO GENTLE Closes at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre January 10

Welsh actor Geraint Wyn Davies will portray the legendary Welsh poet, playwright and author of 'Under Milk Wood,' Dylan Thomas in Leon Pownall's play DO NOT GO GENTLE, previewing Off-Broadway starting November 19 prior to opening December 6, 2009 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42 Street) in Manhattan.
