Cloran’s production cleverly unites Shakespeare’s text and the Beatles’ music to come together (pun intended) in a lively and original version of AS YOU LIKE IT.

The Kent State University Orchestra and Combined Choirs join together to conclude the School of Music's 2018-19 concert season on Sun., May 5 at 3 p.m. in Cartwright Hall's University Auditorium. This annual audience favorite brings together nearly 200 musicians from the Kent State University Orchestra, Kent Chorus, Kent Chorale, and Men's and Women's Choruses. Conductors include Dr. Jungho Kim, Director of Orchestra, and Dr. Scott MacPherson, Director of Choral Studies.

One of the great things about the theater is that art is constantly changing, constantly evolving. If it isn't, even the best of shows become stale, bland and, God forbid, boring.

Grendel--a new opera directed and co-written by Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor based on the fantastical epic poem Beowulf--will have its Los Angeles Opera premiere at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on June 1st rather than the previously-announced May 27th
