Set inside the racial tensions of 1940s Mississippi, THE RIVER WAS WHISKEY pulses with revenge and retribution. Some things demand to be remembered, whether we like it or not-especially if we love someone we shouldn't.

It's by pure accident that Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe by Canada's Catalyst Theatre touched a huge nerve with teens, according to Jonathan Christenson, Catalyst's artistic director and the show's creator.
So begins this deliciously dark dreamscape about literary sensation and master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe. Just in time for Halloween, Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe uses haunting song, poetic storytelling and surreal imagery to explore the events that shaped Poe's career and ignited his lifelong battle with 'visions dark and sinister that never cease.' From Canada's Catalyst Theatre, this bizarrely beautiful production recently completed an extremely successful run at the Barbican in London. For those who fancy 'the ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore,' don't miss the spooky, stylish spectacle that is NEVERMORE!
